Where does the name Huele A come from?
The name comes from the idea that a candle does not have to smell like just a fragrance. It can smell like a memory, an experience, a person, a place, or a special moment.
Where are the candles made?
All of our candles are handmade in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, by the Huele A team.
Where are you located?
We are located at 1060 C. Brumbaugh, San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Products
Are the candles handmade?
Yes. All of our candles are handmade in Río Piedras by the Huele A team, with care placed into every step of the process, from fragrance selection to the final pour.
What type of wax do you use?
We use coconut soy wax, a blend of coconut and soy wax selected to create a clean, elevated, and high-quality burn experience.
Are the candles non-toxic?
Yes. Our candles are made with non-toxic coconut soy wax and carefully selected fragrances designed to create an elevated aromatic experience.
What type of fragrances do you use?
Our fragrances are elevated blends: aromatic blends designed to feel more layered, memorable, and sensory than a traditional fragrance.
Can I buy candles as gifts?
Yes. Our candles are a great option for personal gifts, corporate gifts, events, celebrations, and special occasions.
Do you have fragrances available year-round?
Some fragrances may be available on a recurring basis, while others may be seasonal or limited edition. We recommend checking current availability through our shop or contacting us directly.
Can I request a specific fragrance?
Yes. We offer personalized services for events, businesses, and special projects. Availability will depend on the type of fragrance, quantity, production timeline, and scope of the request.

Refills and Jar Care
Do you offer refills?
Yes. You can bring your clean jar and we will refill it for $2 per ounce.
What do I need for a refill?
Please bring your jar clean and ready to be refilled. The refill cost is calculated by ounce.
How do I clean my jar?
Carefully boil water and pour it into the jar. After a few minutes, a layer of wax will form at the top. Once it cools down or is safe to handle, you can remove that layer by hand.
Then, pour out the water and wipe away any remaining wax with paper.
Can I pour wax down the drain?
We do not recommend pouring wax and water down the drain, as the wax can harden and clog the pipes. It is best to remove the solid wax and discard it in the trash.
What should I do if the wick does not light or has a defect?
If your candle has a wick-related defect, such as not lighting properly, you can bring it in and we will review it to fix the issue.
Do you replace candles with wick defects?
We do not replace the candle, but we can help correct the wick issue so you can continue using it.
Custom Orders
Do you make custom candles for events?
Yes. We create custom products for events, businesses, corporate gifts, weddings, birthdays, brand activations, and other special occasions.

Can I create a unique fragrance for my event or brand?
Yes. We can create a custom fragrance for your event, brand, or special project. This service requires more development time and may have a higher cost than working with an existing Huele A fragrance.
What is the difference between choosing an existing fragrance and creating a custom one?
Choosing an existing fragrance allows the order to move more quickly and is usually more cost-effective. Creating a custom fragrance involves an additional process of selection, testing, and development, which may require more time and a higher investment.
How far in advance should I place a custom order?
We recommend placing custom orders as early as possible. The timeline will depend on quantity, level of customization, material availability, and event date.
What information do I need to request a custom order?
To evaluate your request, we need to know the event or delivery date, quantity of units, type of event or project, whether you want an existing or custom fragrance, approximate budget, and any special details we should consider.
Candle Making Experience
What is the Candle Making Experience?
It is a guided experience where participants create their own candle in a relaxed, creative, and memorable environment.
Can the Candle Making Experience be private?
Yes. We offer private experiences for groups, brands, celebrations, teams, influencers, birthdays, bachelorette events, corporate events, and other occasions.

How many people can participate?
Capacity may vary depending on the type of event, space, and format of the experience. To quote correctly, we request details about the group, desired date, location, and estimated number of participants.
What fragrance is used in the Candle Making Experience?
In the Candle Making Experience, each participant creates their own fragrance for the candle they will take home. This fragrance is not part of Huele A’s blends; it is created as part of the participant’s experience.
Can you bring the experience to another location?
We can evaluate off-site or private-location experiences based on availability, logistics, number of participants, and event needs.
What information do I need to request a private experience?
We need to know the ideal date, alternate date, number of people, location, type of event, and any special details about the experience.
Collaborations
Does Huele A collaborate with brands or creators?
Yes. We evaluate collaborations with brands, creators, events, and businesses that align with the essence of Huele A.
How can I propose a collaboration?
To propose a collaboration, please complete the collaborations form with details about the concept, date, location, estimated number of people, collaboration goals, and any expectations regarding product, content, or participation.
Are all collaborations accepted?
Not necessarily. Each collaboration is evaluated based on availability, brand alignment, scope, logistics, and mutual benefit.
